December already, time goes as fast as always and I’m already gonna be at my third Christmas in Taiwan, well it hasn’t been bad I should say…My first Christmas here, on 2005, was alright I guess, I was still discovering the city of Taipei, its nice and cozy western restaurants as well as the tiny little Taiwanese noodle shops and company. Foreigners Sample Taiwan’s Food

A large crowd of International and national students alike, gathered at the Caesar Park Hotel in Taipei, to witness the first ever “Taiwan Fine Food Tasting Campaign”, organized by Corporate Synergy Development Center.

Among the invited guests, were foreign students from three top universities in Taiwan, namely, Ming Chuan, Tai Da and Shu Da, and host of the “Travel and Living Channel” Toku.
All foreign participants were given the opportunity to taste all Taiwanese Food (Buffet Style) and vote the top ten Delicious Dishes. The dishes were divided into two categories, Snacks and Table Set Menu.

Michael Turton came to Taiwan in 1989 and became a very active person in Taiwan’s politics since.

He taught in several universities, had his own business going on for a little while and started blogging on 2005, he also ran a few websites and is actually teaching at Chao Yang University in Taichung, a city in the middle of Taiwan. (more…)

“You can change the world” said Michael Turton Taiwan’s top blogger. Mass communication students were stunned to hear that one man could make a difference just by building a community online.

Michael came to Taiwan in 1989; his goal was to provide information about Taiwan after his experiences and journeys while he was travelling around the country. Before blogging came about Michael was well known on the internet with his web sites about Taiwan. (more…)
